Friday December 5, 2008 our family went up north to snowmobile for the weekend. We decided on Thursday that we would pack up and take off after school. A quick and unplanned trip turned out great. Gretchen loved the snow and did a great job on the long car ride. (7 hours- because of bad roads) Grandpa Mike and our friend Nath went along. We all took turns riding the snowmobiles and watching Gretchen. I think we rode close to 300 miles in a day and a half. We stayed at a really neat hotel that had all kinds of real stuffed animals. I think Gretchen thought she was at a zoo. She loved walking around and looking at all them. Gretchen played in the snow several times, took a small snowmobile ride around the parking lot of the hotel and went on lots of sled rides. Her Daddy even got going too fast one time and dumped the sled in the snow. She didn't seem to mind a bit. We hope to travel more together soon.
